Il POCO F6 is revealed on Geekbench: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and 12 GB of RAM

Il POCO F6, the next device in the family of POCO, was recently spotted on the benchmarking platform Geekbench, arousing great interest among fans of the sub brand of Xiaomi. As the May launch date approaches, the appearance of the POCO F6 on Geekbench offers a preview of its technical specifications and expected performance.

According to the Geekbench page, the POCO F6 stands out for its Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, accompanied by well 12 GB of RAM and Android 14 operating system, customized with HyperOS UI. The tests revealed scores of 1884 in single-core and 4799 in multi-core, numbers that promise a fluid and responsive user experience.

Although the name of the chipset was not explicitly mentioned in the Geekbench listing, the CPU details and GPU information, obtainable through the source code, confirm the presence of the powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. This detail suggests that Xiaomi could be in the process of of internal tests in preparation for the official announcement.

This month, Redmi introduced the Redmi Turbo 3, also equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. It is likely that the POCO F6 intended for the global market is a rebrand of the Turbo 3.

Leaked technical specifications indicate that the POCO F6 could boast a chassis with IP64 certification, AMOLED display from 6.7 inch with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The device should offer up to 12GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 internal storage. As regards the photographic sector, a front 20 megapixel camera and a dual rear camera system with a 50-megapixel main sensor (Sony IMX882, with OIS) and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor (IMX355). To complete the picture of specifications, one battery 5000mAh with support to quick charge from 90W.

The appearance of POCO F6 on Geekbench is a clear sign that the company is refining the final details before the official launch. We therefore just have to wait a few weeks before having the first official info.
