POCO M4 coming in February with 90Hz screen and much more (leak)

Last year, Xiaomi's sub brand, POCO, launched the POCO M4 Pro, a mid-range that gives a real hard time to higher-end devices.

Well, today thanks to Indian leakster Mukul Sharma from MySmartPrice we find that the POCO M4 will be launched worldwide in February. Mukul Sharma also revealed some of the specifications starting from the photographic sector.

Il POCO M4 should arrive with a total of three rear cameras, among these we will have a main camera with a resolution of 64MP with the OV64B40 sensor, the secondary camera (probably with an ultra wide lens) will have a resolution of 8MP with the Sony IMX355 sensor of 8 MP, finally there will be a 2MP camera (probably for macro photos) with the OV2A sensor. So a low-mid-range setup that should allow us to take decent but not great photos.

As for the display, the smartphone will probably be equipped with an LCD panel with a refresh rate of 90Hz, just like on the Pro version. While it should be powered by a chipset produced by MediaTek with support for 5G networks. In any case, given that the POCO M4 Pro is already priced at just 180 € (on sale), clearly we cannot expect a high-end chip aboard the M4.

On the software front, the POCO M4 will most likely come with the MIUI 12.5 operating system based on Android 11, so a bit disappointing given that the MIUI 13 based on Android 12 has already been officially presented together with the series Xiaomi 12.

Now that we have confirmation of the future launch of the POCO M4, new leaks if not official teasers should follow soon. Keep following us for all the updates.
