As scheduled, the new ones were presented today POCO M5 and M5s, two gaming smartphones with an affordable price; let's go and discover them together!
POCO Official M5 and M5s: two gaming phones with low prices
Let's start with the POCO M5 that comes with the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, a chip built using a 6nm manufacturing process. The processor integrates an octa-core CPU, with two high-performance Cortex-A76s and a frequency of up to 2,2GHz along with an Arm Mali G57 GPU for excellent 3D performance.
In addition, thanks to the Game Turbo 5.0 software, there is intelligent control and optimization of the CPU, GPU and memory, to support a constant framerate even in the most demanding games. The system is also able to recognize if the user is inside a game, in which case if a message is received, it will be shown in a secondary window so as not to interrupt the session.
Il POCO M5 doesn't mess around in the display compartment either, with a 90Hz DynamicSwitch panel that can dynamically change the refresh rate of the display. So, for example, for games with a high number of frames, a very fast refresh rate is set, while during video playback it switches to a reduced frequency. All this mainly serves to save energy and have a greater autonomy. Also to improve the gaming experience, we also find a 240Hz touch sampling rate that speeds up the user experience, supporting the user significantly in fast games through a faster response.
In any case, the screen is a 6,58-inch display with Full HD + resolution and a hole at the top for the front camera. There is no shortage of functions such as Sunlight Display for viewing in high brightness conditions.
But the POCO M5 is not just a gaming phone. The smartphone is equipped with a triple rear camera consisting of a 50MP main camera, a 2MP sensor for real-time depth detection and a 2MP macro camera.
Finally, the smartphone integrates a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
Let's move on to the cheapest one now POCO M5s which instead comes with the MediaTek Helio G95 chip, a processor with excellent performance and at the same time very efficient.
As for the screen, the POCO M5s adopts a 6,43-inch AMOLED display with Full HD + resolution and top hole for the front camera. The device is also equipped with high-end features to enhance the user experience, such as DC Dimming technology to decrease panel flicker and 360-degree ambient light sensors that allow for screen brightness adjustment. All this allows you to watch videos for a long time without straining your eyes.
As for the cameras, the POCO M5s includes a 64MP main camera and an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera, along with two 2MP sensors for depth sensing. In front we find instead a 13MP front camera. The smartphone can shoot video at 4K resolution and 30fps.
