Poco, the sub-brand of Xiaomi, would be working on its next budget device, the Poco M6 5G. Although in reality there isn't much to "work on" given that it would be a rebrand of the Redmi 13C 5G, already present in several markets (India) and known as Redmi 13R 5G in China.

The news emerges from a recent leak that includes an image of the MIUI code, suggesting that the Poco M6 5G, with model number 23128PC33I, is set to debut in India. The addition of the letter “I” at the end of the model number specifically indicates the Indian market, although there is no confirmation yet on its availability in other regions.
Despite the lack of official details on the technical specifications, we can expect the Poco M6 5G shares many of the features of the Redmi 13C 5G. This includes a 6.74 inch IPS LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution, one front 5 megapixel camera and a system of dual rear camera with 50 megapixel main sensor. The device is expected to hit the market with on board with MIUI 14 based on Android 13.
Regarding the performances, the Poco M6 5G is expected to be powered by the Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset, supported by up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
From the point of view of autonomy however, the smartphone should integrate one battery 5,000mAh with support to recharge from 18W promises to guarantee adequate autonomy for daily use. The phone also has a dedicated microSD slot in the card tray, which can also accommodate two SIMs with simultaneous 5G support.
Other notable specifications include a audio jack from 3,5 mm, Gorilla Glass protection for the display and will splash and dust resistant. Furthermore, regarding security, the device will be equipped with an unlock sensor in the power button, located on the right side of the device, under the volume keys.
