As we learned a few days ago, the Poco X2 will be presented in India on February 4. The smartphone will represent the beginning of a new series and not the continuation of the previous one (Poco F1) which had been a huge success.
Poco X2 appears in the first real photo, but there is a surprise
Il Poco In fact, X2 will not be a flagship killer like the Poco F1, but a mid-range device with some interesting specs. Furthermore, another substantial difference from the Poco F1 is that the latter was a totally new terminal, while the Poco X2 instead looks like a rebrand of the Redmi K30 presented in China a few months ago.
Well, today we can also remove that "looks", thanks to a photo arriving from India. As we can see in the image above, in fact, we have a device in the initial configuration phase with the clear writing "Poco X2 ". But there would be nothing strange up there, except moving your gaze poco above, we see a packaging of the Redmi K30.

Now, we are very strange that the brand Poco start selling smartphones with Redmi packages, as it would be neither professional nor correct for the end user. That said, it is highly possible that this is a sample sent to one of the many Indian reviewers to try out the device in preview. In that case, have the Redmi K30 packaging instead of Poco X2 wouldn't be anything special.
But what this image suggests is that the Poco X2 is the exact same device compared to Redmi K30, with the only difference hidden within the operating system. So Redmi (or Xiaomi) would have decided to launch a "global" version of the K30 without putting his face on it.

This is a choice that could be viewed negatively, but in reality it is not. As some of you will remember, Redmi did the same with Redmi K20 and K20 Pro, then known in the rest of the world as Xiaomi Mi 9T and 9T Pro. Two smartphones that are still two must-buy items in their price range to date.
In any case, regarding the specifics of Poco X2, we can now say with certainty that it will equip a 6,67-inch screen with FHD + resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor, along with at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. We will then find a 4500mAh battery with 27W fast charging support, NFC and 3.5mm audio jack.
