POCO X3 he came out of poco more than 5 months but users immediately appreciated it. The points in its favor are basically two: design and price. After months and months of devices that always look the same, we finally have something new. Not too new, for heaven's sake ... but it's already a step forward. Secondly, the price: less than 200 and for a Xiaomi home device. But all that glitters is gold? Clearly not and indeed, if it glitters, beware!
Un POCO X3 catches fire during charging and the battery pops out of the body: external causes, as usual, and always in India
The question we always ask ourselves when we read about these events is: because in India? Only once happened that one Mi Band 5 was on fire in Italy but, as we know, the story was resolved in the best way. The latest news always comes from there but concerns a much more recent device, the POCO X3. According to the testimony of the person concerned, the smartphone exploded while charging. As we can see from the images the battery literally fell off from the inside going to get up.
Unfortunately, despite the ever-increasing safety requirements and quality control, this is what happens sometimes. The owner said the device was purchased in December 2020 and the fire occurred during a recharge. In the comments, the representatives POCO stated that "the cause of the fire was the impact of external forces". This "excuse" sounds a bit like a refrain every time. In any case they have promised to contact the owner of the device for further clarification and they have remembered the strict quality tests of their products.
Fortunately, this is an isolated case, but there are ways to prevent this from happening. If our smartphone is in good health (and only we know if it is), that's enough do not charge it overnight. Also, if the temperatures outside are too high, you may want to let it rest for a while before using it.
But what idiocy of suggestion would it be to not let it recharge all night? Can't they even make a circuit breaker that cuts off the power?
It's our advice, not theirs. Probably all smartphones are equipped with this circuit but is it worth the risk? You rate 🤷🏻♂️
Don't charge it all night, basically what most people do with any phone model, if you want to charge it in the morning when you go out. I also have the old OP3, turned on 24 / 24h, at the current, with a little game that always goes: D. Obviously the battery is already swollen which made me detach the screen from the phone a bit ..
Eh but it is risky. As you can see, even the latest generation phones can have problems. A power bank or charging it in the morning while having breakfast / bath could be useful. For example, I do this.
