In recent days, the news regarding the updates of Xiaomi devices have been really numerous and several times we have brought up the release of the latest version of Android, that is 9 Pie which seems to have reached a good part of the Chinese manufacturer's devics. And so after having talked about it in a more than abundant way, we again mention the smartphone of the year, the POCOPHONE F1 that after a first taste through the MIUI 10 beta finally the definitive release of the major release of the green robot has begun.
POCOPHONE F1 gets Android Pie with MIUI 10 Globla Stable and Redmi 5 updates to Dual 4G support
One of the workhorses of last year was undoubtedly Xiaomi Redmi 5 that after upgrading to Android Oreo in these hours receives a further upgrade, which enhances the features in terms of connectivity, making the smartphone a viable alternative level considering the excellent selling price. In fact, with the new MIUI 10 version 8.12.6 Global Beta has been introduced support for the Dual 4G VoLTE, which allows you to take advantage of the 4G connectivity on both SIM slots. Just go to the Settings menu and find the item that will be enabled or disabled according to your needs.
All this translates into the fact that for example you can take advantage of the 2 SIM to browse while there is a call on the first SIM and vice versa. The update also includes the security patches of November 2018 and is in the process of rollout but if you dare to try this new interesting feature on the entry level license plate Xiaomi you can download and flash manual by clicking on this link.
I have a problem with the official OTA download of Android 9, and MIUI related, on mine Pocophone, it restarts continuously, sometimes even after 80% with a message that something went wrong and asks me to try again after 1 or 2 minutes. The same morning the backup on Google Drive was also blocked in the middle and I had to complete it in two times, is it a bug of the MIUI version 10.0.6.0? Can anyone help me please?
Do a hard reset and try again
I solved by breaking up the download as much as possible, basically pausing it often. However, automatic notifications and brightness are much worse after the new stable, as if they were not already to be improved. Thanks for your answer.
