POCOPHONE F1 is one of the latest flagships presented in August by the sub brand POCO in cooperation with Xiaomi, which immediately made people talk about itself for a very low price in the face of top-of-the-range technical specifications. POCOPHONE F1 is the direct competitor of the standard Xiaomi Mi 8 proposing itself on the market with a processor Snapdragon 845, 6 / 8 GB of RAM and 64 / 128 / 256 GB of internal storage, screen from 6,18 IPS type inches and a dual camera from 12 + 5 megapixel that manages to rival the higher category models (see here the photographic comparison with Xiaomi Mi 8). In short, a jewel that is difficult not to fall in love with, but like any love story there are also quarrels, and in the case of POCOPHONE F1 these are due to a failure to handle notifications due to the notch adopted and which also includes an IR camera to unlock the device by recognizing the face even in the most absolute darkness.

This could push some users to look for something else, maybe Custom ROM based on the Android stock experience. And the realm of modding lies in the XDA portal which recently led to the introduction of the geeks a porting derived from the Google Pixel family firmware, based on the version AOSP Android 8.1.0 with related Gapps already preloaded inside the ROM and with security patches updated in September 2018
POCOPHONE F1 receives the Pixel Experience
Note that this porting it does not fall into the GSI category and then the Pixel Experience ROM for POCOPHONE F1 is for the exclusive use of this terminal, also by virtue of the DPI optimization dedicated to the notch present on the Chinese smartphone.
