Xiaomi took time and strength to implement the new MIUI 11 on the smartphone of his team and even more resources are needed to reach other devices that have not yet tasted the goodness of the new firmware. Among the novelties, we certainly find not indifferent graphic changes, which wink at modernity and functionality. However, someone has found stylistic “anomalies” in relation to the symbol of the fast reload, an icon that is represented by two coupled lightning bolts, on which someone has identified the most deplorable mark of the organization in human history, namely the SS.
The latest updates on the MIUI 11 by Xiaomi include new environmental visualization themes, natural alarm sounds, persistent notification icons and much more, but for many this oversight has the potential to offend many Xiaomi smartphone owners. Unfortunately, it is inevitable not to acknowledge that the rapid recharge symbol is very reminiscent of the runic signs used by Schutzstaffel, better known as the SS - "Protection Squadron" by Adolf Hitler, responsible for the murder of millions of civilians during World War II.

Controversy over the MIUI 11 fast-charge icon: Xiaomi may reconsider its design
Previously, the recharge icon was placed over the battery icon but the new technology is rightly emphasized and so it seems that Xiaomi wanted to emphasize that the most modern smartphones in its range, like the Xiaomi Mi 9 series, enjoy of this technology therefore the symbol of lightning alone was not enough. As it happens, the SS symbol is inspired by two "sig" runes that symbolized victory, deliberately redesigned to even look like lightning.
Honestly I do not want to belittle the story nor the pain that can still be felt in the air for the brutality put in place by certain monsters of the past, but recognizing Nazism in an icon of a smartphone seems really absurd if not diabolical, but probably Xiaomi could revise the design releasing an update in a tight turn, in order to avoid possible offenses, considering that it is now a global brand.

Certainly it was not intentional but undoubtedly recalls the symbol of the SS and not vaguely.
