Indeed, his package had been found in a leak some time ago, but no rumors had announced the presentation. We are talking about Xiaomi's new "true wireless" bluetooth headphones: le Xiaomi Air 2.
While not having spent much time on it, several details were provided on new earphones.
The "in hear" factor has been abandoned for a more classic and comfortable in the long run as for the Apple Air Pods.
The new LHDC codec has been adopted (low latency and high definition audio codec) which is already supported by the Mi9 Pro.
LHDC ™ stands for low-latency and high-definition audio codecs. Compared to the SBC Bluetooth audio format, LHDC ™ allows three times the transmission of data. LHDC ™ provides more realistic, high-definition wireless audio completely eliminating the current differences between devices with cable and without.
The Xiaomi Air 2, thanks to the new MIUI 11 will be supported by a new graphical interface that will simplify the combination and use. In a similar way (or the same) to Apple AirPods, opening the dock will activate a popup which will automatically establish the connection. It will also be possible customize the function associated with the single touch, both of the right and left earpiece, so as to prefer the one used most frequently (play / back / forward).
Each headset weighs only 4,5 grams, which become 50 for the charging and transport dock. The autonomy is of 4 hours of continuous listening, which rises to 14 total hours by placing the earphones in the case, rechargeable in an hour via USB Type C.
Available for now only in white color, they have a 14,2 mm diaphragm mobile reel, a double microphone for the noise reduction and clearer calls and offer, according to Xiaomi, rich and full basses and clear and sharp highs. Voice commands have also been introduced that interact with the assistant XiaoAI, unfortunately not available in Italian.
