Presented the new Meizu MX4 ... let's find out!

Meizu has finally presented the highly anticipated MX4, the world's first smartphone with MediaTek MT6595 SoC!

MediaTek's MT6595 (octa-core) is the base of the Meizu MX4, but by the end of the year they expect new business terminals, such as the MX4 Pro rumored, which should come with SoC Samsung Exynos.

Returning to today's presentation, the Meizu MX4 (let me say that reminds me so much of the old generation iPod touch) is a big change from the previous MX3, and introduces many new things that only confirm the "premium" nature of this company Chinese. The smartphone frame is made of aluminum alloy 6061 T6, and surrounds a 5.3 inch display. Meizu has speculated that this particular alloy has been chosen instead of steel because it allows to reduce the weight of the device and obtain the desired anodised colors. The complicated production process and the choice of materials allowed Meizu to keep the smartphone's size just above the size of the MX3, with the new model of a larger battery, a wider display and a slightly lower thickness. The dimensions of the Meizu MX4 are of 144 x 75.2 x 7.9 mm.

As we have already said, the display has a diagonal 5.3 inches, and offers Full HD resolution. The display is surrounded by an aluminum frame from just 0.3mm, made with a very special production process, of which Meizu intends to register the patent, which helps absorb shocks and vibrations. Technically interesting!

The MediaTek MT6595 processor found in the Meizu MX4 is an octa-core chip made with ARM big.LITTLE architecture, which offers 4 core Cortex-A7 and 4 core Cortex-A17, and operates at 2.2GHz frequency. Meizu uses Core Pilot technology that enables 8 core to work all at once and allows SoC to quickly switch between energy-efficient core and core performance. All this should ensure a good battery life, which Meizu has claimed to be the most performing 30% of the MX3.

As seen from various rumors, the Meizu MX4 camera offers an impressive 20.7 megapixel sensor from Sony, with a 0.3 seconds of focus, 4K video recording, and slow motion video recording at 720p. The camera also offers a dual dual tone flash LED, which should dramatically improve shots in poor lighting conditions.

The Meizu MX4 supports both Chinese and European networks, with WCDMA, GSM and LTE. Meizu promises that the smartphone will be compatible, through various bands, with European operators.

The smartphone appeared during the black and white conference, but it was shown to render a golden version. With regard to Chinese prices, the smartphone will cost 1799 Yuan in the 16GB internal memory version, 1999 Yuan with 32GB internal memory and 2399 Yuan with 64GB internal memory, corresponding to 223.16 euro, 247.98 euro and 297.60 euro.

As we said before, the smartphone is already pre-order in both China and international buyers, and should be shipped around September 20. International prices will be clarified around September 17.

We at can not wait to have this fantastic terminal on our shop! Let us know in your comments about what you think about the new Meizu MX4 ...
