At the recent IFA 2024, Narwal presented its new robot vacuum cleaner Freo Z Ultra, a device that takes automatic cleaning to the next level thanks to a mix of advanced technologies and artificial intelligence.

Advanced Navigation and Obstacle Detection
The Freo Z Ultra is equipped with the system TwinAI Dodge, which allows it to move easily between obstacles. With two 1200p RGB cameras and a wide 136-degree viewing angle, the robot is capable of detecting people, pets, small toys and even dark objects such as plastic bags. Thanks to two AI chips, it can recognize over 120 types of objects in real time with millimeter precision, allowing for thorough cleaning even around obstacles, up to less than 1 cm away.
Smart and Targeted Cleaning Technology
The heart of the Freo Z Ultra innovation is the technology Proactive AI DirtSense™ 2.0, which allows it to detect the difference between dry dirt and wet stains, adapting the cleaning strategy accordingly. When it detects more stubborn dirt, it performs a targeted and intense cleaning only on the affected areas, thus avoiding the spread of bacteria and bad odors.
A feature that stands out is the cloth washing system with Hot Water AI, which automatically manages the water temperature based on the type of dirt. For lighter stains, it uses water at 45°C, while for more stubborn stains, such as oily ones, it reaches up to 60°C. In addition, a temperature of 75°C is applied to eliminate residual bacteria. After each wash, the cloth is dried at 40°C to keep it hygienic.
Pet Mode & Silent Self-Emptying
Narwal has also integrated technology EdgeSwing™, which ensures precise cleaning along the edges and corners of the home. The Reuleaux triangular cloths allow the Freo Z Ultra to reach difficult spots, while the kick-board module uses electrostatic force to attract dust from skirting boards.
The Freo Z Ultra is designed to fit even homes with pets, thanks to a dedicated cleaning mode. The robot detects and avoids areas where animals rest or play, cleaning other areas of the house first. Once the animals move on, it performs a deep clean to remove hair and debris.
Furthermore, the Freo Z Ultra stands out for its ultra-quiet self-emptying. With a noise level of only 55-58 dB, the robot can clean without disturbing. The 2,5-liter dust bag can be emptied every 120 days, and the 45°C hot drying eliminates bacteria. Dynamic electrolyzed water ensures safety in the container cleaning process.
The Narwal Freo Z Ultra will be available on the Italian market from 25 September 2024, at the price of €949, and will be available for purchase on Amazon and on the official website of narwhal.
