Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 Leaks Online: Nearly 4 Million Points on AnTuTu

According to the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (model number SM88550) will be built using the TSMC's 3nm N3P process, ensuring greater efficiency and speed. The chip configuration includes a 2+6 core setup, consisting of two main cores and six performance cores. While this architecture is reminiscent of the current Snapdragon 8 Elite, the new chip will use thelatest architecture of Arm v9, a major update over the previous v8.
The move to the Arm v9 architecture brings with it the support for advanced SME1 and SVE2 extensionsThese extensions are designed to improve tasks like on-device AI processing and computational photography, suggesting that the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will be a key component of future premium smartphones with advanced features.
Another noteworthy element is the GPU upgrade. The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will integrate theAdreno 840, although specific details on clock speeds and technical capabilities are currently lacking. However, early indications suggest significant improvements over previous GPUs.

Performance-wise, the leaked numbers are impressive. The chip would have reached a Score of 3,8 million on AnTuTu, marking a more than 30 percent increase over the best score recorded by a Snapdragon 8 Elite device in March. While benchmarks don’t always tell the whole story in terms of real-world performance, this leap highlights the game-changing potential of the new chip.
With these specifications, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is set to be more than just an upgrade. The move to the Arm v9 architecture and improved processing capabilities position it as a key platform for smartphones that increasingly rely on AI solutions and real-time processing.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is expected to power next year’s premium Android flagships. While Qualcomm has yet to confirm an official release date, an announcement could come as early as October.
