Realme 12 Pro+: the new smartphone with periscope camera and Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 appears on Geekbench

According to the Geekbench site, new device has the number of model RMX3840 and a motherboard codenamed Parrot. The processor is made up of eight cores, four of which with a maximum frequency of 1,96 GHz and four with a maximum frequency of 2,40 GHz. This suggests that it is the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, a latest generation chipset for the mid-range, which offers high performance and low consumption. The device also has 12 GB of RAM, but there will probably be other variants with less memory. The operating system is Android 14, the latest version of the green robot.
The Realme 12 Pro+ got it 1.025 points in single-core tests and 2.915 points in multi-core tests of Geekbench, demonstrating good fluidity and responsiveness. However, remember that benchmark scores are not always indicative of the actual user experience, which also depends on other factors, such as software optimization and screen quality.
The screen of the 12 Pro+ should be one of its strong points, according to one recent leak. It would be a curved panel, probably AMOLED type, having a high refresh rate, perhaps 120 Hz. The design of the device is expected to be elegant and refined, with a blue leather back and a circular camera module.

The cameras of the Realme 12 Pro+ were also at the center of the brand's attention, which published some teasers on its social channels. The Pro+ model should have one 64MP periscope camera with the OV64B sensor, which allows one 3x optical zoom, a 6x hybrid zoom and a 120x digital zoom. Furthermore, the camera would have the function super OIS, which stabilizes images even at long focal distances. The other cameras are not yet known, but it is assumed that there is a 50 MP main sensor with the Sony IMX890 and an ultra-wide-angle sensor.
The battery of the 12 Pro+ should have one capacity of 5.000 mAh, with the support of quick charge from 67W, according to TUV certification. This means that the smartphone will be able to recharge in a short time and guarantee excellent autonomy. Other features could be the fingerprint sensor under the screen, 5G support, the 3,5mm audio jack and NFC.
The Realme 12 Pro+ will be revealed on January 29, alongside the Realme 12 Pro, which will have similar but lower specs. There is also talk of a third model, the Realme 12 Pro Max, which would be the most powerful and expensive of the series. The price and availability of the 12 Pro+ have not yet been announced, but it is estimated that it may be around around the euro 400.
