realme reveals the characteristics of 240W charging

We cannot deny that realme, together with Oppo, are two pioneers in smartphone charging. The former is about to introduce 240W charging for mobile devices while the latter, at the time, introduced several VOOC charging to conquer the market. But today we're talking about realme and the features of charging over 200W. The company explains to us how the special charger will work.

The 240W charging on smartphones will arrive first of all on realme devices. Subsequently, Xiaomi and company will adapt

realme is the first to introduce 240W fast charging technology to the market, confirming the launch of "record-breaking" accessories in mass production. At the same time, the company confirmed that realme GT Neo 5 will receive support for proprietary technology. All of this, of course, will not compromise the smartphone's battery. According to the published promotional materials, realme's new power supply converts 20V/12A to 10V/24A, with an efficiency of 98,5%. The charger will come with a specially modified cable with a USB Type-C connector.

At the same time, the volume of the PSU case will increase by only 5% compared to current solutions. Declared support for SuperVOOC (240W), Power Delivery (65W), Quick Charge and VOOC charging protocols. The realme GT Neo 5 smartphone, the first with 240W charging, will include 13 built-in temperature sensors and the industry's largest vapor chamber – an area of 6580mm2. Company representatives claim that after 1600 charge cycles from 0 to 100%, the battery capacity will decrease to no more than 80% of the nominal value.

It is known that the smartphone will receive a 6.7″ OLED display with a resolution of 2772 x 1240, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and a 50-megapixel main camera sensor. For the rest, unfortunately, we do not yet have official information.
