Realme is about to make a big leap forward in the field of fast charging technology for smartphones. According to recent rumors from China, the company is ready to unveil its new solution 300W wired charging. This news comes after another Chinese manufacturer, Redmi, had already announced similar technology in February 2023, promising to charge a 4.100 mAh battery from zero to full in less than five minutes. However, to date, no Redmi device has actually used this technology.
Instant smartphone charging: Realme working on 300W fast charging

Realme, on the other hand, has already proven itself to be at the forefront of fast charging. Its GT5 and GT Neo 5 models, for example, are equipped with 240W wired charging, which allows the device to be fully charged in just 10 minutes. Now, with the introduction of 300W technology, Realme could set a new standard in the industry.
According to rumors, Realme's next flagship smartphone, the GT7 Pro, could be the first to benefit from this innovation. In addition to fast charging, the GT7 Pro is expected to boast an IP69 certification for dust and water resistance, as well as an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

The main challenge for Realme will be to balance charging speed with battery longevity and thermal management. Ultra-fast charging can in fact cause the device to overheat, reducing battery life. To address this issue, Realme could implement advanced cooling systems, such as vapor chambers, which could increase the costs of the phone.
Despite these challenges, the adoption of 300W charging technology represents a significant step forward for Realme and the entire smartphone industry. If the company can quickly translate this innovation into commercial products, it could solidify its position as a leader in the field of fast charging.
Now we can't help but wait for further rumors to understand which device from the brand will be equipped with this record-breaking charge.
