The always-on display has also been updated, where it is now possible display a music player with the ability to control playback without activating the screen. A special mode has appeared with a demonstration of theusage activity of the smartphone, which previously debuted on OnePlus devices.

In realme UI 4.0 now possible to create large folders on the home screen, displaying up to 9 applications at the same time, which can be launched without directly expanding the folder in full screen. System animations and menus of running applications have also been updated. The standard applications, widgets for the home screen have been completely redesigned. With their help it is possible monitor real-time weather, calendar events, step counter and other information. In the "native" gallery, the possibility of automatically hiding profile photos and names on images has appeared. For example, this can be useful when we need to share a screenshot through a conversation. A separate section has also been added where you can hide photos, videos, music, documents and other files, limiting access to strangers.
The company said that realme UI 4.0 uses a new dynamic calculation engine that improves system performance by 10%, reduces device heat by 1°C and extends battery life in games by 4,7%. The rollout of the new firmware has already begun and will be phased and region-specific.
