Today a new Redmi-branded model was caught on the Chinese MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) certification site. According to what appears in the certification, Redmi's smartphone has the code name 2201116SC. It is also reported that the device's onboard processor is likely a Qualcomm Snapdragon 690, with support for 5G networks.
The biggest advantage of this model is that it has a built-in 5000mAh battery and comes standard with a 67W fast charging solution, which is one of the most powerful fast charging solutions in its possible price range.
According to the latest rumors, in fact, Redmi should launch a medium-low range model, which should have a price of about one thousand yuan, about 140 euros at the current exchange rate.
As for the design, it has been reported that this new phone will be equipped with a screen with a high refresh rate, i.e. 120 Hz, and with a hole in the center for the front camera. This is a design that seems to have become the default on all Xiaomi smartphones that will be launched in 2022.
In addition, this new device from Redmi will also adopt a right-angle chassis design, similar to the current iPhone 13 and other models. So the new phone is expected to be similar to the Redmi Note 11 in back design and should hit the market under the Redmi 11 name.
