
Today Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi 14C 5G, a device that aims to dominate the budget smartphone segment thanks to its advanced features and competitive price.

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen2, first 4nm chip in 4-series. This chipset features two Cortex-A78 cores (2.2GHz) and six A55 cores (1.95GHz), an Adreno 613 GPU, and an X61 modem with dual 5G support and downlink speeds of up to 2.5Gbps. The device comes with 4 / 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM e 64/128GB UFS 2.2 storage, expandable up to 1TB via a dedicated microSD slot, while still allowing the use of two SIMs.
The front IPS LCD display is now a 6,88-inch panel and a 120Hz refresh rate (up from 6,74 inches and 90Hz on the previous model). However, the resolution remains HD+. The camera system hasn’t seen any major updates, retaining a 50MP main camera and a secondary one on the back. The front-facing camera, on the other hand, has a new 8MP sensor (up from 5MP before), but video recording is limited to 1080p @ 30fps for both cameras.

The Redmi 14C maintains the 3,5mm headphone jack and has a single speaker that is 50% louder than the previous model. The phone is available in three color variants: Starlight Blue, which weighs 205g, Stardust Purple and Stargaze Black, which weigh 212g due to the glass back design.

The Charging is still limited to 18W, but the box includes a 33W charger that can be used with other USB-C devices. The phone's body is IP52 certified for splash resistance.
The Redmi 14C 5G will be available for purchase in India from January 10 (Friday) with a starting price of Rs 10.000 (roughly Rs 114) for the 4/64GB model. There are also upgrade options to 4/128GB for Rs 11.000 (roughly Rs 125) and 6/128GB for Rs 12.000 (roughly Rs 137).
