A few months goes by Xiaomi had published the list with all the devices that would have received Android 9 Pie and since then the Chinese giant has slowly kept the word by updating almost all the smartphones on the list.
Today it seems to be the turn of two Redmi series terminals, namely the Redmi 6 Pro and the Redmi Note 5 (Pro) that finally leave the Android 9 Pie Beta for a Stable ROM.
Redmi 6 Pro and Note 5 (Pro) receive Android 9 Pie
The update is about to be released in India with the MIUI 10.3.2.0.PDMMIXM for the Redmi 6 Pro with a size of 1,6GB, In the update there are the May 2019 security patches along with some new features such as unlocking with the face of applications, Dark Mode and the possibility of blocking the opening of the notification curtain in the unlock screen. Obviously there are also fixes for the bugs present in the previous ROM.
As for the Redmi Note 5 (Pro) instead, the downloadable update in India will go under the name of MIUI 10.3.1.0.PEIMIXM always with Android 9 Basic pie. Also this update has a size of about 1,6GB, brings with it the security patches of May 2019, Dark Mode, unlocking applications with the face and a new reload animation.
Both updates will be released in installments so we do not have a specific date on which you will find the update on your device.
We also have further positive news for Redmi S2 owners, in fact the smartphone will receive the update to Android 9 Pie in June, so soon. Given the similarities between Redmi 6 Pro and Redmi S2 we expect an update that will bring the same features in addition to the May 2019 security patches.

Avec cette mise à jour , impossible de se connecter par usb sur le PC afin d'extraire les photos ou au. cela n'indique plus lle choix pour charger sa batterie, pour importer un fichier etc…
I have a REDMI NOTE 5 This morning I updated it with the new MIUI 10.3.1 and Android 9 moral of the story: I can NO longer use WIFI and HOTSPOT SIMULTANEOUSLY. Until last night I hadn't updated it was possible. I used it every day as a bridge with the home router so as not to connect the TV to the internet at will. The TV has wifi always on and would connect directly to the router. In practice HOTSPOT, now, it is possible to activate it only with the active data connection of the SIM, no longer with WIFI. Xiaomi has made some confusion because he had already released the 10.3.1.0 Global stable (and for some markets also the 10.3.4.0) but with Oreo, this at least on my redmi note 5 pro (whyred). We'll see what really comes in downloads updates!
