Redmi 7A: the super entry level spotted on TENAA

The name Redmi has entered everyday life just like the parent company Xiaomi, and in these days we have witnessed a real bombing of rumors and leaks concerning the future flagship of the Chinese brand, the K20 PRO. But there are still many users who are not pretentious at the level of the data sheet and who simply look for reliability in a smartphone and so here comes a super entry level, namely the Redmi 7A.

The little brother of the Redmi 7 has recently been certified by the Chinese telecommunications organization TENAA, which we had the pleasure of trying for you, and which we fell in love with in relation to the excellent quality-price ratio. From the photos that appeared on the TENAA database we can see that the Redmi 7A will be equipped with a single camera with AI technology and that the name of the REDMI brand stands out in contrast on the back, while we do not find any fingerprint sensor, entrusting the unlocking of the device probably to the selfie camera in addition to the usual pin, pattern and/or alphanumeric code.

On the front we will not have any notch and it could be a good thing, considering that many complain about the lack of permanent notification display on MIUI. Therefore the display will be in the more classic form factor in 18: 9 with HD resolution. A decidedly sober and not very innovative design except for the slightly more curved lines compared to the previous generation still led by Xiaomi, such as the Redmi 6A which was equipped with a MediaTek Soc.

Unfortunately there are no further rumors about the hardware of the entry level Redmi 7A, but it is conceivable that at the level of RAM there will be only one cut from 2 GB while at the level of internal storage we will find solutions from 16 and 32 GB, hoping for adoption of the triple SIM and micro SD slot, while at the CPU level the old and expensive Snapdragon 625 could come back in vogue. Finally, the price could be confirmed at the launch of the previous generation equal to 599 yuan, equal to approximately 77 euros at current exchange rates.
