Although the spotlight is currently focused on the new one Redmi K20 series and on the new laptop RedmiBook 14, another very interesting entry-level device was presented today in China, we are talking about Redmi 7A.
The smartphone was actually anticipated a few days ago, but today we discovered some additional details and above all the final price.
Redmi 7A presented: Super cheap and with Snapdragon 439
Let's start with the display which for many could be a strength not to be given poco. The Redmi 7A arrives with a screen size that perhaps for the first time in history remains unchanged, the new entry-level phone has a 5,45-inch display just like its predecessor, with HD + resolution and an aspect ratio of 18: 9.
On board the Redmi 7A we find the modern Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 with a clock of 2Ghz, a good step forward compared to the MediaTek Helio A22 of Redmi 6A. The new CPU is able to increase the performance of around 25% in the calculations, while from the graphical point of view we have a 50% boost, so we will have an increase in performance during gaming sessions or in other heavy-duty graphical applications. The amount of RAM is instead 2GB while the internal memory varies from 16GB to 32GB depending on the model chosen.
As for the photographic sector, the smartphone was equipped with a rear camera from 13MP with AI (artificial intelligence) PDAF autofocus and various ways to improve the face. While in front we find an 5MP sensor also with AI and support for unlocking the device with the face, especially given the lack of a fingerprint sensor.
The Redmi 7A has a body with P2i treatment, this makes it repellent to water although not completely waterproof and weighs only 165 grams. While inside, as for example in the micro USB port and in the 2 + 1 slot (two SIM plus microSD card) we find some devices that serve to decrease the entry of liquids.
Finally, the smartphone comes with a large 4000mAh battery that coupled with the super efficient Snapdragon 439 processor should bring extraordinary autonomy.
The new Redmi 7A is super cheap with a starting price of 549 (about 70 €) for the version with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, while the variant with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage will cost 599 Yuan, or 77 euro . We remind you that these are the prices in China, at the moment we cannot know how much they will cost in Italy.
