As often happens with Xiaomi, the new series of "Note" smartphones are followed by the cheaper and more compact ones with the initials "A". The last example of this rotation is what we saw in the early months of the 2019, with the Redmi Note 7 followed, though not very quickly, by the Redmi 7A, a device that is still used today in the ultra entry-level segment.
Redmi 8A certified in China, will the entry-level king have a notch drop?
In fact, the official TENAA certification of the next entry-level king from Xiaomi comes from China. The smartphone with the code name "M1908C3KE" and certified the 10 September seems without a doubt the successor of the excellent Redmi 7A.
As we can see from the photos, the device will equip a single rear camera just like the Redmi 7A, but this time positioned in the central part of the back cover, a bit in the style of Redmi Note 8 Pro.
But it is the front where we see the greatest change, the Redmi 8A seems to adopt a notch drop on the display, a much more modern design than the Redmi 7A which instead used a very wide upper edge. While with regard to the lower edge, this seems very similar to that of the predecessor, relatively large and with the writing "Redmi" in the center.
From the point of view of internal specifications instead, these are unfortunately unknown but we can assume the presence of the same MediaTek Helio A22 of Redmi 7A, or alternatively that the brand surprises us with a Snapdragon 632? The other features should include 2GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of internal memory, a display of approximately 5,45 inches diagonal and a large 4000mAh battery.
