Xiaomi and the Redmi sub-brand both seem very active in the last few days. In the space of a week we have seen the presentation of the Redmi K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom in China, followed by the launch of the new global version of the series Xiaomi Mi 10, which includes the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, with the Mi 10 Lite as a final surprise.
Redmi 9 caught again in some real photos
Well, apparently we won't have to wait long before we see yet another device entering the market. The Redmi 9 in fact seems ever closer, with new images that confirm for the second time the design that we had already seen a few days ago.
What design are we talking about? Well, at the moment we can only take a look at the back. Here we find a total of four cameras with a configuration very similar to the one we saw on the base Redmi K30 released in December last year. In particular, we find a round outline with the sole purpose of differentiating the design from that of many other smartphones on the market, while in the center we find three cameras positioned vertically with the fingerprint sensor just below. The fourth camera is located on the right, together with the dual LED flash module.
So the next entry-level of Redmi could equip as many as four cameras, which for a low-end smartphone are by no means few. Now, we don't know what the resolutions of the various sensors are, but we could even speculate the presence of a 48MP sensor from Samsung, cheaper than the Sony one and which is already over 1 year old.
As for the other specs, the smartphone should be powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 as a processor. A CPU that adopts the Arm Cortex-A75 and Cortex-A55 cores up to a maximum frequency of 2GHz; for the graphic part we find instead a Mali-G52 with a clock of up to 950MHz.
