Official Redmi A1: pure Android returns but the specifications disappoint

As some of you will remember, Xiaomi already had a smartphone with model name "A1", or the Xiaomi Mi A1, the first Android One device of the Chinese brand. Well, the Redmi A1 is also an Android One device, this means that it is not pre-installed with the Xiaomi home operating system, the MIUI 13, but comes with the Android 12 operating system as close to the stock version of Google.

As for the specifications, the Redmi A1 uses an LCD-type screen with a diagonal of 6,52 inches, a resolution of 720P and a screen aspect ratio of 20: 9.

The new entry-level with pure Android is equipped with the MediaTek Helio A22 processor, along with up to 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage.

From the point of view of photography, the smartphone adopts a total of two cameras, with the first having 8MP resolution and the second 2MP. In front we find instead a selfie cam of 5MP.

The device is powered by a battery is 5000 mAh and according to official data the Redmi A1 has a long battery life, with a standby time of up to 30 days, 171 hours of continuous music playback, 30 hours of continuous video playback and 31,5 , XNUMX hours of continuous VoLTE calls.

However, we point out that the Redmi A1 unfortunately adopts a microUSB port for charging at the bottom, instead of the now standard USB Type C port.

Finally, as for the design, the rear of the Redmi A1 is designed with an imitation leather texture. It is available in green, blue and black. While the camera design resembles that of the Xiaomi Mi 11.

The smartphone will be sold in India at a price of 6499 rupees, about 82 euros.
