According to the latest from the Xiaomi world, the Redmi sub brand would be close to the release of a new entry level smartphone with the name of Redmi A1, not to be confused with the Xiaomi A1 launched several years ago.
Redmi A1 officially anticipated: design and specifications
Returning to the smartphone, the Chinese brand has just released an official teaser for the device in India, along with some high-quality renders. The images show us that the smartphone will come in a couple of nice soft pastel colors and will even have a textured leather finish for the back.
Also, the teaser page gives us a preview of some of the specifications. We therefore discover that the Redmi A1 will be equipped with a 5000 mAh battery, while for this it concerns the rest of the specifications, at the moment we can only report those seen in a recent leak.
The leak revealed that the Redmi A1 will adopt a 6,52-inch display with HD + resolution (to be precise 1600 x 720 pixels) and an aspect ratio of 20: 9.
The smartphone will then be powered by the low-end MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, coupled with LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 memory. Other specs include the aforementioned 5000mAh battery, which is expected to support 10W charging. It will also feature dual SIM and microSD slots, a 3,5mm audio jack, and FM radio. The whole will be integrated into a body of 164,9 mm x 76,75 mm x 9,09 mm and with a weight of 192 grams.
From the point of view of photography, the Redmi A1 should arrive with an 8 MP main camera with a focal aperture of f / 2.0, and another additional camera with a focal aperture of f / 2.2 (resolution not yet known, but probably it is depth sensor). On the front you should find a 5 MP selfie cam with a focal aperture of f / 2.2. Other known features include Bluetooth 5.0 and 2,4 GHz Wi-Fi na, as well as Android 12 as an operating system.
The smartphone will be launched tomorrow in India but is expected to arrive in the future as it has already been spotted in a Spanish language package.
