
Xiaomi has expanded its Redmi A series with the introduction of the new Redmi A3x. This device, which is a more stripped down version of the Redmi A3, was first launched in Pakistan and is now available globally on the company's website.

The Redmi A3x comes with one 6.71 inch screen cwith a resolution of 1650 x 720 pixels and a 90 Hz refresh rate, which guarantees a clear and smooth display. The beating heart of the device is the Unisoc Tiger T603 processor, equipped with two ARM Cortex-A75 cores at 1.8 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.6 GHz.
As for memory, there are options available from 3GB or 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB or 128GB of eMMC 5.1 flash storage, expandable up to 1TB with a MicroSD card. The phone is also equipped with a b5,000 mAh battery which supports the charging at 10W via USB Type-C.
For photography, the Redmi A3x comes with a 8 MP main camera and a QVGA lens for basic shooting, plus a front camera from 5 MP. Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, the ability to use two SIMs simultaneously and a side fingerprint sensor. The operating system is Android 14 and the device will receive two major Android updates and security updates until 2027.

While the price for the European market has not yet been revealed, in Pakistan the Redmi A3x is available at the price of PKR 18,999 (approximately 63 euros) for the model with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory.
With the Redmi A3x, Xiaomi continues to consolidate its presence in the affordable smartphone segment, offering users a balance between functionality and price. Now we just have to wait to find out if the brand will decide to bring it to our country too.
