In terms of design, Redmi Band 2 does not differ from the Chinese version. Again, this is a classic looking smart bracelet and there are 6 band colors to choose from: black, white, pink, blue, green and ivory. The smartband has dimensions of 42,81 x 25,42 x 9,9 mm with a weight of only 14,9 grams without strap, as well as certification 5 ATM for diving in water up to 50 meters deep. The screen has a diagonal of 1,47 inches and it is a TFT display. Because of this technology, we won't even find the Always-on-Display feature here.
The maximum brightness is of 450 rivets nits, so no issues in direct sunlight. The screen is protected by tempered glass with slightly curved edges and compared to Xiaomi Mi Band 7 the Redmi bracelet is expected to offer a 10,5% larger display area. Redmi Band 2 can measure more than 30 sporting activities , but we have to deal with the lack of a GPS module. In addition, the bracelet can measure heart rate, blood oxygen, stress and sleep. For women, there is menstrual cycle tracking.
As usual, it is recharged using a magnetic charger, which is of course included in the box. Charging shouldn't take more than two hours. As for autonomy, the manufacturer indicates the capacity a 210 mAh and declares 14 days of normal use. In the case of a more demanding one, the duration is reduced to about 6 days.
