Yesterday we speculated that the next one Xiaomi Mi Band 5 it could have arrived tomorrow, April 3, 2020, at the Xiaomi Mi Fan Festival event that celebrates all the fans of the brand around the world.
Redmi Band: New teaser confirms the arrival at the Mi Fan Festival 2020
Well, apparently a new teaser would suggest that yes, a new fitness band will be presented tomorrow, but this time produced by the Xiaomi sub-brand; let's talk about a "Redmi Band". This would be the first wearable launched by the Chinese brand and should compete with the latest Xiaomi Mi Band 4. We therefore expect very similar specifications and a slightly cheaper price.
These specifications could include an AMOLED color display with a size of at least 0,95 inches, a resolution of 240 x 120 pixels and 2.5D curved glass. The fitness band should also be waterproof, with a rating of 5 ATM and arrive with support for Bluetooth 5.0 technology to be able to connect it to the smartphone quickly.

As for the features, the Redmi Band should adopt a graphical interface that allows us to show the time, the number of steps taken, the current date, then day and month, the heart rate and the amount of battery remaining . Among other features we could then find the DND (i.e. Do Not Disturb, do not disturb), alerts from the apps, control of the music playback of the phone, search for the device and timer. Finally, remember that as for the Mi Band 4, we should find different settings to adjust the brightness of the screen and the duration of the lock screen, monitor the heart rate both during sleep and during workouts. While thanks to a bacteria of at least 100mAh we should reach more than two weeks of autonomy (on paper).
In any case, we would like to clarify that the launch of the Redmi Band does not prevent Xiaomi from being able to present the new Mi Band 5 as it is, in the end, two different brands and products with different price ranges.
