The last week of April begins with a bang for Redmi. The brand that became independent last January has in fact just released the teaser for their first real flagship which, as many of you will already know, will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 CPU on board.
The revelation comes in a trailer for the new Marvel movie "Avengers 4: Endgame" in which Redmi is shown at the end of the video with the design we had already anticipated for days, or a full screen screen without notch and with a camera retractable that automatically exits from the top of the device when you want to take a selfie.
Redmi's Flagship: Here is the first official teaser
The pop-up mechanism of the front camera would be adopted for the first time on a Redmi (or Xiaomi, if for that matter) device, so we'll have something completely new for this brand, at least from the design point of view.
At the same time, Lei Jun, president and co-founder of Xiaomi, confirmed that the device will be equipped with the Snapdragon 855, which is the best performing mobile chip on the market, also a first for a Redmi smartphone. Lei Jun then added that this top of the range will be cheaper than the Xiaomi Mi 9 (no surprise here), thanks to the fact that Redmi will focus on online sales, with the specific / price ratio as a priority.
From another manager, Lu Weibing, we instead receive confirmation that Redmi's flagship will have a high screen-to-body ratio (screen / chassis ratio), high-performance hardware and a very thin "chin" (lower edge).
As for the other specifications, the most certain are the audio jack from 3.5mm, a rear camera from 48MP (probably Sony IMX586), NFC module and a battery of no less than 4000mAh.
While among the hardware not yet confirmed we have the fingerprint sensor under the screen and consequent AMOLED screen from 6,39 inches, wireless charging e front camera from 32MP.
