Redmi K Pad and K80 Ultra officially teased: Everything we know

Both products aim to redefine their respective segments, with the K80 Ultra positioning itself as a flagship killer, ready to challenge the likes of the iQOO Neo 10 Pro+ and OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra, while the K Pad is pitched as Redmi’s first high-end tablet, designed to compete with the likes of the Lenovo Legion Y700 (Gen 4), Red Magic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro, and iPad Mini.

The Redmi K80 Ultra will be powered by the Dimensity 9400+ chipset, one of the most powerful processors from MediaTek, built with 3nm architecture. The device will be equipped with a Flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of up to 3.200 nits, and support for 12-bit color depth.

On the autonomy front, the K80 Ultra will integrate a 7.400mAh silicon-carbon battery, with quick charge to 120W, ensuring extremely short charging times. In addition, the device will be equipped with a liquid cooling system with a vapor chamber, improving heat dissipation during intensive use.

The photographic section will include a main camera with OIS, ultra-wide angle sensor and a telephoto/macro lens, while the front camera will be 20MP, optimized for selfies and video calls.

Il Redmi K Pad, instead, will be the brand's first flagship tablet, with a 8,8-inch LCD display with 3K resolution, 165Hz refresh rate and 16:10 format, ensuring fluidity and superior visual quality.

Under the hood, the K Pad will be powered by the same Dimension 9400+, making it the most powerful tablet Redmi has ever produced. The device will support quick charge to 67W, in addition to bypass charging, allowing you to power the tablet directly without stressing the battery.

Redmi has confirmed that the K80 Ultra will be the best smartphone in the 3.000 yuan (about 385 euros) segment. In addition, the device will offer improvements in several aspects, including display, haptic feedback, audio quality, and design.

Il fingerprint sensor will be ultrasonic, allowing recognition even with oily fingers, improving the reliability of the unlocking system.

Redmi will hold a launch event later this month, where it will officially unveil the K80 Ultra and the K Pad. Additionally, Xiaomi might also announce the Mix Flip 2, its new compact foldable.
