Let's start the week talking about the most awaited device of the last few days, we are obviously referring to Redmi K20, the first true flagship phone of the brand that became independent at the beginning of the year.
Today's indiscretion comes directly from the GeekBench benchmark program, on their site it is in fact possible to find the result obtained from a terminal with code name Xiaomi Davinci that many suggest is precisely the Redmi K20.
Redmi K20 check on GeekBench with Snapdragon 730
The smartphone in question is equipped with a mid-range processor with top-of-the-range performance, namely the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730. This allows the device to score 2574 in single-core mode and 7079 in multi-core mode. In comparison, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 with Snapdragon 845 of the past year had a single-core score of "only" 2359, therefore lower than the hypothetical Redmi K20.
Moreover, the leak would confirm the presence of a less powerful processor than the much talked about Snapdragon 855, which at this point seems an exclusive of the Pro version of the device.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 3
In any case, there is no need to despair. Redmi's general manager and vice president of Xiaomi, Lu Weibing, has promised that the 2.0 Flagship Killer will be the cheapest smartphone on the market with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. The existence of an even cheaper version could be seen as something positive for those who want to spend less while maintaining all the other specifications from the top of the range.
Among them we should have an AMOLED type display, a fingerprint sensor under the seventh generation screen, a Sony IMX586 main camera with a pop-up mechanism, an NFC module, an 3.5mm audio jack with Hi-Res certificate and much more.
With the presentation already scheduled for tomorrow, we just have to wait less than 24 hours to find out the prices of the basic version and the Pro version.
