In recent days we have seen a sudden increase in "leaked" images online which in practice revealed the price of the next Redmi flagship store. Now, although some may be real and therefore shared in good faith, others seem to have been created to create dissent.
The general manager of Redmi and vice-president of Xiaomi Group, Lu Weibing, is really of this warning, so much to push him to threaten legal actions against the creators of these images.

What images are we talking about? Let's take as an example the photo above where we can see a hypothetical poster of Redmi K20 with the various prices. In particular we have the Redmi K20 with Snapdragon 855, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory for the price of 998 Yuan, 1198 Yuan for the version with 128GB and 1398 Yuan for 8GB / 128GB.
Now, it is true that Lu Weibing has promised the cheapest flagship ever, but 998 Yuan which at the exchange rate is about 130 euros is definitely poco also for the Xiaomi sub-brand. And who wouldn't like to have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for 180 euros?
In another image instead, the Redmi K20 with Snapdragon 730 is given to 1399 Yuan (180 €) while Redmi K20 Pro with Snapdragon 855 has a starting price of 2299 Yuan (about 300 €). They too would seem to have been proven wrong today by Xiaomi executives.
Although they may seem something frivolous and unimportant, these images can really damage the Redmi brand. Such as? Well, think of the disappointment of many users in discovering that the smartphone so desired costs in reality almost double compared to the price seen in a leak the previous day.
