There is now one exact week to the presentation of Redmi K30, already scheduled for 10 December 2019. As often happens in these cases, in the days preceding the launch, the specifications and features on board the device are revealed almost daily. Here, then, that this time the Xiaomi sub-brand, which became independent at the beginning of the year, anticipates one of the features we will find on the K30.
Redmi K30: Qualcomm 5G NSA / SA processor confirmed
What is it about? Well as you will have already understood from the title, Redmi's official account on the famous Chinese social network Weibo has just confirmed that the smartphone will adopt a latest generation Qualcomm processor with 5G connectivity; the latter a detail we already knew.
Now, Redmi has not specified which processor it is specifically but, given all the rumors of the last few weeks, it is almost certain that on board the Redmi K30 we will find a Snapdragon processor from the 7xx range.
This CPU will most likely be the Snapdragon 735 which still has to be made official and which could therefore be presented at the Redmi event. According to various rumors this processor would be an octa-core with a Cortex A76 at 2.36Ghz, a Cortex A76 at 2.32Ghz and six Cortex A55 with a clock of 1.73Ghz. The CPU will then be assisted by an Adreno 620 as a GPU. Finally, the Snapdragon 735 would be designed with a production process at 7nm, so it will be very efficient compared to most CPUs currently on the market. Dote needed as 5G connectivity seems to be more stressful on energy consumption.
Speaking of 5G, as we have learned in this article, the Redmi K30 will adopt an 5G module with Dual-Mode support NSA / SA. This technology is more advanced than those NSA present in almost all 5G smartphones as it allows you to hook up to a greater number of antennas. In fact, in the future 5G SA (StandAlone) technology will mainly be used.
