Right yesterday Redmi had anticipated that Redmi K30 would arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7xx processor with support for the 5G network, but the brand had not specified the model, thus leaving us in the uncertainty. Well today instead we have removed all doubts confirming that it is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, a processor that you probably have never heard of before, this because it is in fact a new CPU just announced by the world leader in smartphone chipsets.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G will debut on the Redmi K30
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G will therefore see its international debut at the 10 December event where Redmi K30 will be presented.
As for the specifications of the new chipset, Qualcomm has not yet revealed all the details but we already know that it adopts a Qualcomm Adreno 620 as GPU, a Qualcomm Snapdragon Spectra 355 ISP and a Qualcomm Hexagon 696 DSP.
From a connectivity point of view, the processor will come with a Snapdragon X52 RF modem. This modem can reach download speeds of up to 3,6 Gbps (ie multi-gigabit) and works with both bands under 6Ghz and mmWave. We also have support for NSA and SA (Non-Standalone and Standalone) modes, carrier aggregation and dynamic spectrum sharing.
As the name suggests, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G is also a processor specifically designed for gaming, in fact we find a "G" I doubt after the model number "765". And yes, the Snapdragon 765 exists and was announced at the same event, but we won't find it on Redmi K30. In any case, as for the Snapdragon 730 / 730G series the differences should be minimal with a slightly higher clock on the GPU to be able to get some more FPS in heavier games.
Finally, Qualcomm announced that the CPU adopts an artificial intelligence AIE engine with well 5TOPS of AI processing power. In other words, in cases where we use AI, the smartphone will be slightly faster.
I want a max4 with 765, just so I will change my mi9t. I need big screen ..
