The rumors regarding the upcoming Redmi flagship-killer never seem to end. So, about a week after the official presentation, today we discover some really interesting details regarding the photographic sector that we will find on board the Redmi K30.
Leak: Redmi K30 coming with Sony IMX686 sensor from 64MP
We are going to the point quickly, according to the latest rumors coming from China, the Redmi K30 will adopt four cameras on the back, and so far no surprise as we were already expecting an upgrade over the three Redmi K20 cameras. From the sensor point of view instead, the leaker states that the device will have a main camera from well 64MP. The camera will most likely adopt the new Sony sensor, the IMX686, although in reality it should have a real resolution of 60MP. So there are two ways of thinking: the leaker has revealed an incorrect resolution, or the rumors that give the Sony IMX686 with 60MP resolution will not be confirmed.
In any case, in our opinion, it is logical that the Redmi K30 adopts an image sensor that is the successor of the Sony IMX586 that we find on the Redmi K20. We also do not believe that Redmi decides to go with a Samsung sensor after complaints to the presentation of the Redmi Note 7 that equipped the Samsung ISOCELL GM1 from 48MP instead of the Sony IMX586.
Moving on to the other three cameras. We will have a secondary with 8MP resolution most likely accompanied by a telephoto lens, one from 5MP with ultra wide-angle lens and the last one from 2MP which will almost certainly be used to take macro photos.
Finally, the leaker also seems to reveal the focal opening of the first two sensors. We therefore have an aperture of f / 1.73 on the main sensor and a lens with f / 1.89 aperture on the telephoto one.
In any case, on December 10th we will discover all the official specifications, so we just have to wait poco less than a week.
Great design, but then 108 MP won't be there?
No, maximum 64MP!
