The tech people are in turmoil for the official presentation of the new Redmi K30, the new top-of-the-range smartphone from the Xiaomi spin-off company, which should debut the upcoming 10 December.
On the web the first photos depicting the new Redmi champion are being depopulated as well as the first rumors on the technical sheet have begun to turn heads to the fans of the bran. In fact, the rumors suggest that the future Redmi K30 should integrate an 6,6 inch display with 120 Hz refresh rate with an integrated 32 MP dual punch-hole camera with ToF sensor / Time of Flight) for facial unlocking.
Even the rear photographic sector is no less, adopting a main Sony IMX585 sensor from 60 MP which is also accompanied by a 8 MP tele sensor, a wide sensor from 13 MP and an additional 2 MP sensor, probably used for Macros . In addition, we also have a 5000 mAh battery with 27W charger, giving super hero autonomy to the new Redmi K30.
Redmi K30: the processor could be the new MediaTek Dimensity 1000 5G
Many have also speculated that the Chinese house equips its flagship with the powerful SoC Qualcomm Snpadragon 730G by offering the device to launch at around 2000 yuan, or about 260 euros at current exchange rates.
But things could be questioned by further rumors, supported by a tweet that Redmi's CEO, Lu Weibing, posted on the well-known social media. In fact the manager openly congratulates MediaTek for the launch of the new Dimensity 1000 5G CPU, which really promises wonders both in terms of pure performance and in terms of 5G connectivity. It was also stressed that the company will work alongside MediaTek, to pursue the new frontier of 5G, cutting costs and giving the new era of mobile connection to everyone.
And before you start to turn up your nose, you should know that MediaTek has invested a lot in this new processor, an octacore divided into: 4 core a 2.6 GHz ARM Cortex-A77 + 4 core to 2.2 GHz Cortex-A55 which is accompanied by a graphics engine managed by the ARM Mali-G77 MP9 GPU. Abbreviations and numbers set aside, this translates into record-breaking performance, which is shown in a benchmark test using the AnTuTu software, obtaining well beyond 500000 points.
In terms of 5G connectivity, this is entrusted to the Helio M70 modem with performance equal to 4,7 Gbps in download and 2,5 Gbps in upload. Finally a further point in favor of the new MediaTek Dimensity 1000 5G is that it will be the first SoC in the world to offer dual SIM 5G support, allowing you to keep two 5G SIMs in the same device.
If indeed Redmi K30 will equip itself with the chipset in question, the competition with high-end smartphones that will be equipped with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 will be truly remarkable. But we just have to wait for the December 10 to see which strategy Redmi has planned for its flagship.
