Redmi K30 Ultra coming with 120Hz AMOLED screen and same design as the K30 Pro

In the last few days we have learned a lot of details about the next Xiaomi mi 10 ultra, while the Redmi K30 Ultra that will be presented at the same conference remained somewhat muted. In fact, until now we only have a rumor that it comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ as a processor.

Redmi K30 Ultra

Well today, both the CEO and co-founder of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, and the general manager of Redmi, Lu Weibing, have decided to anticipate some details regarding the device. Let's start with one of the most important components in a smartphone: the display.

In the last few hours Lei Jun has shared a post on Weibo (the Chinese Twitter), in which she says: “These days I have used the K30 Ultra and it is really good. This super smartphone has been completely redone based on the K30 Pro. This time Lu Weibing should have no regrets ”.

At that point Weibing replied: "The Redmi K30 Ultra is a 'super flat' with 10 years of preparation created for fans of the brand". He then added that: “This dish has been prepared for a long time. Over the past decade, we have made many discoveries and many detours. I received praise and criticism. But in the end we arrived at the K30 Ultra, this will be your favorite dish ”.

In any case, metaphors aside, according to the Chinese media the fact that there is talk of “having no regrets” refers to the refresh rate issue of the display. At the presentation of the Redmi K30 Pro, many users were in fact disappointed by the fact that it was a screen with a refresh rate of only 60Hz, when many other competitors had already adopted a 90Hz panel.

The Redmi K30 Ultra should therefore double from the K60 Pro's 30Hz to a whopping 120Hz. All this while maintaining an AMOLED type panel, so much more vivid colors, deep blacks and other strengths and weaknesses that you already know.

Furthermore, returning to Lei Jun's words, we discover that what we hypothesized about the design of the K30 Ultra has been partially confirmed: the Redmi K30 Ultra will arrive with the same design as the K30 Pro (known by us as POCO F2 Pro). This means that we will find a screen without holes or notches that ruin the full screen look, in their place we will have a camera with a pop-up mechanism hidden inside the chassis. On the back there will be a circular camera module with a total of four sensors.

Redmi K30 Ultra: Specifications confirmed for the next flagship-killer

As for the specifications itself, the K30 Ultra should adopt a 6,67-inch diagonal screen, with Full HD + resolution and, as just mentioned, AMOLED type display with 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone will then be powered by the all-new MediaTek Dimensity 1000+, the first top-of-the-range processor using Cortex A77 cores and featuring world-leading 5G technology. This supports the SA and NSA dual-mode 5G network and is still the only chip in the industry that supports 5G + 5G dual card dual standby, as well as dual carrier aggregation technology for 5G, offering users a browsing experience. faster and more stable than ever.

From the point of view of photography, several leaks suggest the presence of a front camera with a resolution of 20MP. While on the back we should find a 64MP main sensor, accompanied by a 5MP camera with 2x zoom, a 2MP depth of field sensor and a 13MP ultra wide angle camera with a 123 degree field of view.
