Redmi K30 Ultra

What we could call the new flagship killer comes with some really impressive hardware for the price, this above all thanks to the presence of a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ as a processor that allows it to achieve performance in line with the top-of-the-range SoC of 2019, that is the Snapdragon 855. The chip is based on a 7nm manufacturing process, uses the ARM Cortex A77 architecture with eight cores and a maximum frequency of 2,6 GHz. There is also an APU 3.0 that greatly improves the computing power for AI and is the first processor with Cortex A77 and integrated 5G modem. In any case, the MediaTek chip that manages to score over 539k points on AnTuTu, is paired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.

The Redmi K30 Ultra arrives with the same design as the K30 Pro, but the 6.67-inch AMOLED panel has seen a noticeable refresh rate upgrade. In fact, the smartphone supports a refresh rate of 120Hz, which is double compared to the Redmi K30 Pro which instead stopped at 60Hz. A second speaker has also been added which therefore brings stereo sound for a more immersive user experience. However, the same external design remains, without holes or notches that ruin the full screen look, in their place we will have a camera with a pop-up mechanism hidden inside the chassis.

Other display specifications include 5.000.000: 1 contrast, 240Hz touch frequency, wide DCI-P3 color gamut, HDR10 + support for highly dynamic image viewing, screen fingerprint unlock, 1,200nit of maximum brightness and adaptive frame rate between 60Hz / 120Hz which saves more power.

On the back returns the circular camera module with a total of four sensors. These include a 64MP main manufactured by Sony with a focal aperture of f / 1,7 and 1.6μm large pixels thanks to 4 in 1 technology. We then have a 13MP ultra wide angle sensor with a 119 degree field of view, a 5MP with 2x zoom equivalent to a focal length of 50mm and finally a 2MP depth of field sensor to take photos with the bokeh effect. For selfies we find instead a 20MP sensor with AI beauty. The smartphone is able to shoot 4K videos at a maximum of 30fps, 1080p videos up to 60fps, while in slow motion mode it reaches 960fps.

As for autonomy, the K30 Ultra is powered by a 4500mAh battery with support for 33w fast charging to be able to charge it from zero to 100% in just 60 minutes. It also supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 4 and PD fast charge standards. Finally, there is the NFC, the infrared emitter, Bluetooth 5.1, dual frequency GPS with double antenna and the 3.5mm audio jack to be able to connect our favorite headphones. While for connectivity we have support for 5G SA * / NSA Dual Mode networks, dual carrier aggregation always in 5G and support for the new WiFi 6 protocol.

The Redmi K30 Ultra will be sold in China at the starting price of 1999 Yuan (250 €) for the version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory, the variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory instead costs 2199 Yuan (270 € ) and finally the one with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal memory costs 2499 Yuan (300 €).
