Redmi K40 Gaming Edition: it will have a lightning flash, 5065mAh battery and 67W charging

As we already know, on April 27 the Xiaomi sub brand, Redmi, will hold a conference in which it will officially launch its first gaming phone under the name of Redmi K40 Gaming Edition.

Redmi K40 Gaming Edition: it will have a lightning flash, 5065mAh battery and 67W charging

This morning, the brand has once again anticipated the smartphone by revealing that it will be equipped with a truly special design flash. It will in fact be the first flash in the shape of a lightning bolt, which should not bring any technical improvement compared to circular flashes, but which certainly from an aesthetic point of view will make the smartphone more aggressive and consequently more gaming.

Not that the device isn't already gaming enough in its design. Apart from the main aspect borrowed from the standard Redmi K40, the Gaming Edition indeed sees several upgrades to please gamers. The main one is the addition of two mechanical and magnetic levitation shoulder buttons that come out automatically once the dedicated switch is pressed. In addition, the central chassis has been changed from curved to flat, making it easier to hold in your hands, especially in landscape mode.

In addition to the new flash design, the brand has also formalized important specifications such as battery size and charging power. In particular, we now know that the smartphone will integrate a 5065mAh battery, while fast charging settles at 67W. A power does not give poco that we see on board flagships as on the Mi 11 series.

As for the colors, the overall look has been redesigned with a new silver color scheme, and the rear camera module has also been readjusted. The style is more inspired by e-sports and we could also find RGB LEDs with different effects such as breath, flash during a gaming session and the arrival of notifications.

Recall that the main features of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition will include a perforated OLED screen made of Samsung E4 material. We will also have very thin 1,8mm bezels on three sides and a 2,7mm chin, and it supports a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz.

The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition will be equipped with MediaTek's more powerful Dimensity 1200 processor, which uses a 6nm process, for overall performance comparable to the flagship Snapdragon 870 processor.
