With the beginning of February, the first flagship of the Xiaomi sub brand, Redmi, is approaching more and more. The next Redmi K40 series should indeed arrive towards the end of the month, with some rumors suggesting a launch for February 25th.

In any case, as is often the case in the world of technology, we don't have to wait until the day of the presentation to find out the specifics of the device. A leak leaked today thanks to the Chinese blogger Digital Chat Station gives us some interesting details about the device.
In particular, the blogger would have said that the K40 series will adopt a screen produced by Samsung of the E4 OLED type. This would be an upgrade over the E3-type display we found on its predecessor. Although this is not actually a huge step forward in visual quality and several Snapdragon 888 flagships that we will see this year will most likely still have some great E3 panels.
In addition to the Digital Chat Station leak, we also have official news from the general manager of Redmi and vice president of Xiaomi, Lu Weibing. Also on Weibo (the Chinese Twitter) Weibing has in fact confirmed that the K40 series will integrate a full screen flat display.

It therefore seems quite clear that Redmi has focused everything on the display, very similar to its predecessor, the K30 Pro, one of the few smartphones with a truly full screen thanks to its hidden camera. Now, it is not yet clear how the brand intends to make the K40 full screen as the pop-up cameras seem to have gone out of style, but we hope to be positively surprised.
As for the other specifications, we already know that the Pro version will be equipped with the performing Snapdragon 888 and a starting price of only 2999 yuan (380 €). While on the standard version we should find a MediaTek chip which is also very performing.
