Redmi K40 Pro + will have a 1 / 1.5-inch image sensor

In any case, today the famous Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station revealed some very interesting information about Redmi's next flagship killer. The blogger has indeed stated that the Redmi K40 will be equipped with a large main camera.

We refer to a sensor with a size of 1 / 1.5 inches, therefore very similar to that of several top of the range of recent years, but still not as large as the one on board the Xiaomi Mi 11 which integrates one from 1 / 1.33 inches. In particular, the image sensor on the Redmi K40 should be the Samsung ISOCELL Bright HM2, while the one we find in the camera module of the Mi 11 is the Samsung ISOCELL Bright HM3.

Clearly this sensor will be equipped on the more premium version of the Redmi K40 series. We are talking about the K40 Pro, or a special variant that could be called "K40 Pro +" or "K40 Pro Zoom".

Furthermore, Lu Weibing, the general manager of Redmi and vice president of Xiaomi has already suggested the possible launch of a "Super Large Cup" device, a name that in China they use to describe uncompromising high-end smartphones, whether it's the Redmi K40 Pro + ?

As for the other specs, a couple of days ago we learned that three different variants could arrive in the K40 series, with the cheapest version of the series (the Redmi K40) being equipped with Mediatek's latest chip, the Dimensity 1200. .

Then we have the Redmi K40S which should adopt Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 870 processor, a chip based on the Snapdragon 865 with some improvements. While the Redmi K40 Pro will equip the most performing mobile chip on the market, the Snapdragon 888, and rumor has it that its price is around 2999 yuan, which is equivalent to about 380 euros at the current exchange rate.
