As scheduled, Redmi has just presented the new Redmi K40 series. This includes the cheaper Redmi K40 with Snapdragon 870 chipset and the Pro version which instead equips the Snapdragon 888, but it does not end there; let's go find out more!

Redmi K40 and K40 Pro official in China: there is also a third variant

Let's start with the Redmi K40 which adopts a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with E4 technology and a refresh rate of 120Hz, while the touch sampling rate reaches 360Hz. Inside the display we also find one of the smaller holes for the front camera which has a diameter of 2,76mm, while the lower edge has a height of 3,3mm.

Speaking of cameras, the Redmi K40 arrives with a total of four sensors in the rear module. These include a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor with ultra wide lens and a 5MP macro lens. For selfies we find instead a 20MP sensor.

As previously mentioned, the standard Redmi K40 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 CPU which according to the data communicated by the brand allows the smartphone to obtain a score of over 690 thousand points on AnTuTu, therefore definitely performing and not very far from the older brother, the Snapdragon 888.

The Snapdragon 870 is then coupled to LPDDR5 type RAM, UFS 3.1 type internal memory and WiFi 6 technology to connect at maximum speed.

Powering the chipset is a 4520mAh battery inside a very thin body with a thickness of only 7,8mm. The weight is instead of 196 grams. Fast charging reaches a maximum power of 33W and can recharge the smartphone from 0 to 100% in 52 minutes.

Redmi K40 Pro Pro +

Moving on to the Redmi K40 Pro, the more premium variant adopts the same 6.67-inch AMOLED type display, 120Hz refresh rate and touch sampling rate reaches 360Hz. But apparently the quality is superior as it has received A + certification from the famous DisplayMate screen benchmarking company.

For cameras, the Redmi K40 Pro adopts a 64MP main sensor and the same 8MP secondary cameras with ultra wide lens, a 5MP macro lens and a 20MP camera for selfies.

Redmi K40 Pro Pro +

As for performance, we will find the latest Snapdragon 888, the best performing mobile SoC in the world, always supported by LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 internal memory and WiFi 6 Enhanced technology which is technically even faster than WiFi 6. standard.

The Redmi K40 Pro is also powered by a 4520mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Among the other features we find the Dual Bluetooth technology to connect at the same time and create an excellent stereo effect, NFC and dual-frequency GPS and infrared ray emitter.

Finally, Redmi surprised everyone by presenting the Redmi K40 Pro +, a smartphone that shares all the specifications with the Redmi K40 Pro, but sees an upgrade in the photographic sector with a 108MP main camera. In particular, this is the Samsung ISOCELL Bright HM2 sensor, coupled to a lens with a focal aperture of f / 1.52, 9 in 1 pixel binning technology, dual native ISO and Super Night Scene 2.
