To reveal further details on the smartphone, a new leak comes directly from the famous benchmarking platform GeekBench. According to what we can see in the benchmark, the Redmi K40 was caught with the model number M2012K11AC and codenamed “alioth”.

The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870, or at least that's what we think since the Qualcomm chip can reach a maximum speed of 3,19 GHz. In any case, the Redmi K40 scored 1016 points in the single-core test. and recorded a score of 3332 in the multi-core test.

As for the other specs, we previously learned that the Redmi K40 will adopt a 6,67-inch AMOLED display with Full HD + resolution, a refresh rate of 120Hz and a hole for the front camera in the top center. This hole should also be one of the smallest seen in a smartphone, with a diameter of around 3 millimeters.

The display will also adopt E4 technology. According to the brand, this technology brings greater screen brightness especially in direct sunlight. We also have lower power consumption for the same brightness and would be more expensive to produce than the previous generation (E3). There will then be a sensor to adjust the temperature of the display according to the surrounding light. A technology that we have already seen on several Apple products.

Finally, according to what the brand has revealed in recent days, the smartphone will integrate a battery with a capacity of 4520mAh that supports fast charging of at least 33W.

Recall that the Redmi K40 series will be officially presented on February 25 together with the new laptops RedmiBook Pro.
