However, today, the product manager of the Redmi brand said that due to the lack of chips, the Redmi K40S is still difficult to produce. This means that this year's updated version of the K40 series may be delayed, with the possibility of a full cancellation not even ruled out. So a good punch in the stomach for the Chinese brand that has always achieved excellent results with its series of flagships.
Recall that according to previous revelations, the Redmi K40S should significantly boosted in terms of fast charging and chips. The cheaper base version should use MediaTek's Dimensity 1200 processor, while the higher-end Pro version should adopt Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 chipset, as well as support for 120W fast charging. Which should make it the smartphone with recharge over 100W cheaper on the market.
Furthermore, this time Redmi K40S should adopt a new design on the back with a camera module that sees three sensors positioned vertically and of different sizes, in the order: large, small and large. The overall arrangement is symmetrical and coordinated. While in front it should find a flat type screen with a central hole for the front camera, all in a relatively thin body.
In any case, returning to its availability, several Chinese experts predict that this situation will be alleviated in the middle of next year, but for now many manufacturers have canceled or postponed their production of devices for the second half of the year, at least until the chip supply will not return to normal levels.
