Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will be equipped with the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9000

This year, Redmi made its entry into the field of gaming smartphones for e-sports, launching its first gaming phone, the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition. Well, today we discover that the brand would already be working on its successor, the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition.

According to the Chinese media, in fact, Redmi is developing a device with the code name "Matisse", a smartphone designed for gaming and which, as previously mentioned, could be called Redmi K50 Gaming Edition, while its international version could arrive with the name of Xiaomi POCO F4GT.

It is also reported that the gaming version of the upcoming Redmi K50 will be equipped with MediaTek's most powerful processor, namely the new Dimensity 9000 which as we know has a current score of AnTuTu that has exceeded one million points. This is the most powerful processor in the Android field at the moment, even ahead of the Snapdragon 888 Plus.

As for the technical characteristics of the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip, it is the first to adopt a TSMC 4 nm manufacturing process, and includes a 2 GHz Arm Cortex-X3,05 super core and three Arm Cortex-A710 big cores from 2,85 GHz, plus four cores for energy efficiency Arm Cortex-A510. The chipset supports LPDDR5X RAM memory.

In addition to the MediaTek Dimensity 9000, the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition of the Xiaomi sub brand should be equipped with an AMOLED type screen with a high refresh rate and gaming features such as buttons on the shoulder and lights should not be absent. RGB vibe that gamers love so much.

Finally, as regards the timing of the launch, rumor has it that Redmi's next gaming phone will be launched at the beginning of the second quarter of next year, or in April 2022.
