This afternoon, Lu Weibing, president of Xiaomi Group China and general manager of the Redmi brand, announced that Redmi's “K50 universe” will be released next month.

Lu Weibing revealed that the K50 series flagship is codenamed DreamPhone and will run the new Snapdragon 8 Gen1 at the lowest temperatures in the industry. The smartphone will in fact be equipped with a double liquid cooling system.
Other specs that appear in the shared teaser include a battery capacity of 4700 mAh and support for ultra-fast charging of 120W to be able to fully recharge the smartphone in 17 minutes.
Previously, Redmi had announced that the K50 series will be equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processors, while according to the news released today, it is thought that the K50 series may first see the device with Snapdragon 8 and then the version with Dimensity 9000.
According to the CPUs, the Redmi K50 in the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 version could be called "K50 Pro", while the version of the Redmi K50 with MediaTek Dimensity 9000 precessor could be called "K50" or "K50 Gaming Edition".
As for the chips, as we know the Snapdragon 8 is based on a 4mm manufacturing process from Samsung, the Super Core is a Cortex X2, the CPU frequency exceeds 3,0 GHz and there are three Big Cores and four Little ones.
