Redmi K50E officially anticipated: CPU confirmed

Redmi K50E officially anticipated: CPU confirmed

Well, today, the Redmi sub-brand also announced some news about the Redmi K60 series for the first time. In particular Lu Weibing, the president of Xiaomi China and International Department, and general manager of the Redmi brand, shared a preview on Weibo (the Chinese Twitter). Along with the teaser, Lu Weibing also commented, "Enjoy high performance with light weight, powerful configuration beyond imagination."

The teaser shows that the upcoming Redmi K50E will be powered by MediaTek's Dimension 8200 chip. The Dimension 8200 uses TSMC's advanced 4nm manufacturing process and adopts a 1+3+4 architecture, with a high-performance Cortex A78 core at a maximum frequency of 3,1GHz and another 4 energy-efficient Cortex A55 cores with a frequency of 2.0 GHz.

Compared to the Dimensity 8100, the Dimensity 8200 sees an overall upgrade with the CPU frequency being increased and there is now a Mali-G610 MC6 GPU.

It is worth mentioning that the K60E will also be the first model with an “E” in the Redmi K series. It could be positioned as a mid-range mini “flagship” and should be one of the best smartphones with small displays. So very similar to the Xiaomi 12X launched in March in our country.

In any case, judging by the previous leaks, the K60 series should arrive with a total of three models. In addition to the K60E, there will also be the K60 and K60 Pro, equipped with second-generation Snapdragon 8+ and Snapdragon 8 processors respectively.
