This month, both Qualcomm and MediaTek will release their new next generation flagship chips, which will arrive under the names Snapdragon 8 Gen2 and Dimensity 9200 respectively.
Redmi K60 already in the testing phase with 50MP and 64MP cameras (leak)
At the moment, there are mainly two brands ready at the starting line with their new generation flagships, namely Xiaomi with the Mi 13 series and Vivo with the upcoming Vivo X90.
While as for the cheaper flagships, these will debut later. As always, Redmi will not miss the appeal and therefore we expect to see the Redmi K60 a few months later.
In this regard, today the well-known Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station has revealed in advance some details on the parameters of the next K60 series. In particular it revealed that the current lab prototype was tested with two different main cameras, namely a 64MP camera and a 50MP camera. Either way, the smartphone comes standard with OIS optical image stabilization.
Based on the information we know, it is likely that the 50 megapixel sensor is the Sony IMX766. It is a very popular sensor, while the 64 megapixel sensor model is not yet certain.
As for the other specifications, according to various rumors the next Redmi K60 will adopt a screen with 2K resolution. Specifically it is an AMOLED panel with 1440 * 3200 resolution, which supports a refresh rate of 120Hz and has a maximum brightness of 1000 nits.
Furthermore, in previous weeks it has been reported that the standard version of the Redmi K60 will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ chip, while the Pro version will be upgraded to Qualcomm's new flagship chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen2.
In any case, the Redmi K60 series is not expected to be released in 2022, but we should wait until next year, it is thought between the months of February and March.
