Based on the information previously revealed, the standard version of the Redmi K60 series should be the one equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ chip, while the Pro version will be equipped with the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor.
Compared to the Redmi K50 and K50 Pro, the upcoming K60 series will be completely based on Qualcomm's chipset and we expect a noticeable increase in performance.
Taking the Dimensity 8100 on the K50 and Snapdragon 8+ on the K60 as an example, the former uses a 5nm manufacturing process chip from TSMC and is comprised of four Cortex-A78 cores with a main frequency of 2,85 GHz and four Cortex-A55 with a main frequency of 2,0 GHz. Its score on the well-known AnTuTu benchmarking platform is around 800.000 points.
While for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+, the chip adopts a TSMC 4 nm manufacturing process, we also find a Cortex A710 big core core, as well as a Super Cortex X2. AnTuTu's running score surpassed 1,1 million points and its performance far exceeds that of the Dimensity 8100.
Also, a novelty on the Redmi K60 series will be support for wireless charging. This will be Redmi's first smartphone to support wireless charging.
